About Us - Personal

Through our time in more than 30 countries, it still amazes me how much alike we all are, as human beings. In all of our travels, there’s never been a time where people were not welcoming. (except that one woman in the information booth in Munich lol) Our desire for things like safety, having enough to eat, a warm place to sleep and the love of family and friends is the same everywhere and only proves that we’re not so different, no matter where we live.

Kevin & Michelle

We love our business life but, in our view, what matters most is always found in the love and closeness we share as a family.

Without reservation, I can say that I’m married to the best partner a man could ever have. In our 33 years of marriage Michelle and I have shared an incredibly close relationship and, also, some truly amazing experiences.

We’re also blessed to have three grown men who are an absolute blast to be around. Although we are biased, these guys are simply the best. But, that’s not all. Just wait until you here about our daughter-in-law and the newest addition to our crew, our one and only grandson!

First, for you to know us as a family, it will be important to have a little context. Like everyone else, our experiences have had a profound impact on who we are today, and ours has been quite the life of experiences. Before leaving to start her own company, Michelle was an Executive VP and thought leader for a global company based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Because of her role, we were beyond blessed to have traveled more of the world than most ever could hope for.

Michelle and believe that making a conscious decision to intentionally “see” others and to choose to pour good back into the world, adds richness, connection and value to our lives. After being on the earth as many years as we have, we’ve come to the simple conclusion that the overriding purpose that God gives all of us in this life is to learn to love His other children better. That is our daily goal and we also try to inspire our children to live with the same intension.

At every opportunity, our encouragement to our children has been for them to get out into the world and see other countries and cultures for themselves. Not only have they taken up the challenge on their own, we’ve also travelled as a family and that has done nothing but fuel the fire even more. Between our three boys, they have already made it to Guatemala, Costa Rica, Mexico, Croatia, Ireland, France and the Principality of Monaco. As you’ll see below, Scott found exactly the right woman with the same intentions!

The last few things you might want to know about us is that Michelle and I are big relationship people. We love spending time with our adult children, prefer to sit at the bar, instead of a table and are suckers for great food and wine. We also love our Michigan summers and love to boat and play golf.

In addition to both of us being avid readers, Michelle and her business partner, Tracy, picked up a pen and co-authored a groundbreaking book on leadership. While I may be somewhat biased, this book is excellent and, if the subject of leadership interests you at all, I encourage you to check out their book “Polarity Intelligence, the Missing Logic in Leadership.” It introduces new transformational competencies that have not been introduced to the larger business community until now and it is worth a read. You may find more information here.

Well, that’s enough on me. (and us) We’re excited to have you learn more about my son and business partner Scott, my beautiful daughter-in-law, Lisa and Landon, the best grandkid ever!

Scott and Lisa

I’ll try not to be as long winded as my father (sorry dad, benefits of going second).

This is my girl, Lisa. She is beautiful, talented and is my perfect match. We got married in the fall of 2020, and as you all know, it was certainly an interesting time to live through, let alone while planning an event as pivotal as a wedding. We knew we were the perfect fit for each other and, even through a global pandemic, we had a way of balancing each other out and making each other laugh, something we carry into our marriage even today.

As my father mentioned before, I am now a father myself. We welcomed our son Landon into the world in 2023. This little guy was so anxious to meet us, he decided to come 6 ½ weeks early! We had also just begun a home remodeling project on that was quite extensive. Needless to say, the timing was not ideal. But, with the help from good friends and family, we are all moved in. Our dog Molly thinks we moved to the house just for her and the fenced-in backyard. She is constantly keeping us out of danger from the menacing squirrels. Haha.

Lisa and I are over the moon about our little man and are blessed to say that he is a healthy and happy little guy. We also found out that he is a pretty good traveler when we went on a family vacation to Florida recently. Each day he gets a little bigger and seems to learn a new skill.

As you can tell, our life revolves around our young son most of the time but we also enjoy boating, golf, camping, and spending time with our friends and family. We are also very active at our church, Keystone Community Church, and have participated in several small groups and cultivated a wonderful group of friends and mentors.

Now that you have gotten to know us a little better, we would love to get to know you!
